Learning to be a Blessing not a Burden- 013
Sometimes it’s easier said than done but some time back...I found myself taking care of my Mother’s house, while she was hospitalized. This included small every day tasks such as watering the plants, running errands and paying bills. I wanted to make sure her place would be just as she had left it when she returned home. It felt good to give back, after all she’s done for me over the years. It becomes apparent that we first have to be in a space that’s healthy enough to care for someone else- mentally, emotionally and physically, especially close family members who will depend on us some day. All of us will need help at some point or another in our lives but being in a position to be able to help; is its own reward. This is what selflessness is all about- putting the needs of others before our own.
