Busy Box Initramsf on Linux Mint- 014
So my computer Pegasus got the
Busy Box initramfs message, which has been happening to a lot of people lately implying that the root file system requires a manual fsck. This means that the system has found a corruption that needs to be fixed manually. I had to boot into the system’s recovery mode and access a root shell prompt. By using the fsck command on /dev/sda2 for the root partition I was able to get the computer working again. After the system repair was complete, I had to reboot to make sure it was fully restored. Ironically, the first time I ran into this problem I tried to boot from a live usb, which was no good. The root cause had to be taken care of. It’s good to know how to use the tools for managing the integrity of the system, which comes into play when you’re troubleshooting. I hope this won't be an on going issue *fingers crossed.
