If you think it’s something losing your identity to your children, career or social media; try losing it to being a webmaster and where’s the therapy for that? When we create these sites, not only do they represent our brand but they mirror our soul and that’s a heck of a responsibility to live up to. They can require the investment of time, effort and energy to grow before they can really start working for themselves. Needless to say, being a webmaster can take a lot out of us emotionally; also because every thought has the potential to become a blog entry. This sometimes makes it feel less our own and more performance related but we put our all into it anyways. Don’t get me wrong! We pay homage to the creative principle and our influence on the World Wide Web. The irony comes from being that behind the scenes force that rarely makes a virtual appearance; you just know that I’m here simply because you’re reading this. It’s also true that websites are the armor against invisibility but when that gets too heavy because we stop recognizing the person behind the screen; we risk being separated from our self.
