Alone & Not Alone

I’ve known people who thought
it was impossible to be
alone in a crowd
and that being alone
makes you lonely
that the forging of bodies
means security
silence need not mean
that something’s missing
space need not
mean you’re empty
or that theres void
or even hollowness
it just means
that you’ve
cleaned out your closet
creating a place
where the self can manifest
without need.
