Mission

It’s all too easy to get pulled into the vacuum of mundanity and it can be like fighting gravity. While it’s true that we are creatures of habit, being an old record stuck in a groove that keeps skipping in the same spot can be monotonous. This is why web creators exist; to uplift virtual socities and pass the torch on to future generations. We do this to show them the various ways, in which we engaged in self expression.

The web has increasingly become eroded by commercialization and has ceased to be what it used to be: the old fashioned web model of people making websites simply because they genuinely enjoy doing it, have skills and talents to share or have something to contribute. We did/ do it not because we're looking to gain a slew of new subscribers, monetize each interaction or turn every visitor into a customer but we do it as a labor of love.

We’re quietly conditioned by the compulsion to make an impression, but it doesn't need to become a self fulfilling prophecy. The reality is that we’ve been socialized to believe our primary value comes from making an impression, competing and gaining recognition. Consequently, we forget that simply being here; making something and sharing it with others can be a worthwhile endeavor.

What I’ve learned is that we volunteer ourselves into participation each time we work on our websites. We commit and enter into the cultural gene pool that helps to make the web a more interesting and viable place, which also accounts for something. We’re giving you a little slice of ourselves and the things we believe are worth making space for on the web.
