The Mirror

In the mirror
which has been fractured
splintering into smaller pieces
scattered across the floor
there are people I once knew
and places I use to go
which have now dissolved
and they are reflected in the shards
sifting through what remains
reminds me
of all these things
I divorced the notion
that time could save me
so I learned to bear the burden
of each memory;
until they've disappeared
into something whole
