In a world driven by markets and revenue, I choose to be one of the web curators who still exist. My skills are volunteered to support fellow creators and embrace the economy of collaboration. This site is here to offer a service that promotes shared knowledge on the web.
My presence aims to bring you a thoughtful and engaging experience through art with visual storytelling and through blogging about the self, in relation to my surroundings. This helps uplift virtual communities and reinforces the power of informed spaces.
It's my hope to take you along with me on this journey by eventually offering a behind the scenes/ art process section that invites you into my world. This reinforces the mission of doing more than just having you here passively drifting through content.
This way of working is supported by a set of skills I’ve developed over time; some technical, some creative, all overlapping. Rather than existing in isolation they tend to inform one another; shaping how I approach both structure and expression.
As a young adult, I spent time coding web pages with html, css, and javascript. The open frontier of owning a home computer was explored and there was an interest in learning about what it could be used to create. I was excited about web design, digital art, and creating literature, yet went on to pursue an M.A. in mass media, while honing my hobbies on the side.
I've cultivated an interdisciplinary skill set that supports my journey. I believe in the power of introspection and engagement, which allows me to connect with the projects and people I encounter. You can gather everything you need to know and infer a lot about me from my blog; including how everyday experiences, such as going to the county fair, frame my worldview.
The work I’ve done spans several overlapping areas; shaped by both creative and organizational responsibilities. Instead of existing separately each role has informed how I approach structure, communication and problem solving. As a result, I’ve adapted quickly to a range of different types of work, while maintaining consistency in quality and coherence.
Across web and digital platforms, I’ve created visual and written content through freelance work, independent sites and creative projects. This work moves between storytelling and design, balancing expressive direction with clarity and vision. It has also strengthened my ability to translate ideas into experiences that resonate with audiences.
