Webmistress

In a world driven by markets and revenue, I choose to be one of the web curators who still exist. I volunteer my skills, support fellow creators, and embrace the economy of collaboration. I maintain this website and offer a service that fosters shared knowledge.

My presence aims to bring you a thoughtful and engaging experience through art with visual storytelling and through blogging about the self; in relation to my surroundings. By pooling my assets, I help uplift virtual communities and reinforce the power of informed spaces.

I’m all about narrowing the gap between curator and audience, which has often been worlds apart. It's my hope to take you along with me on this journey by eventually offering a behind the scenes/ art process section and not just have you here absorbing content.

A brief look at my skill set

My Background

As a young adult, I spent time coding web pages with html, css, and javascript. The open frontier of owning a home computer was explored, and there was an interest in learning about what it could be used to create. I was excited about web design, digital art, and writing, but went on to pursue an M.A. in mass media, while honing my hobbies on the side.

I've cultivated an interdisciplinary skill set that supports my journey. I believe in the power of introspection and engagement, which allows me to connect with the projects and people I encounter. You can gather everything you need to know and infer a lot about me from my blog; including how everyday experiences, such as going to the county fair, frame my worldview.
