Mission

It's all too easy to get pulled into the vacuum of passive intake where we're not really interacting with what we're reading or absorbing. This often means that we’re just falling into a type of mindlessness, which is all too easy. However, having an awareness of this tendency allows us to take steps toward scrolling with more meaningful engagement.

Reading takes focus, and that focus can be demanding, especially when we’re looking for more than just a few fragments of truth. The goal isn’t simply for readers to transact with content but to make reading more interactive as curators. You should see this shift slowly in ways like making posts dialogue, using reflective prompts and annotations.

By this active participation, we volunteer ourselves into intentionality and choose to make ourselves present. As a result, we’re opting in even if it takes more work. In doing so; we add value to communities and add meaningful connections. Through fostering each other; we create a richer tapestry of online experiences that benefits society, at large.

Needless to say, by getting involved; the experience isn’t just frivolously happening to an unsuspecting viewer but we pick up some agency, in the process of accompanying the writer along their journey. This is what builds lasting terrains; ones that invite return, reflection and contribution; in an exchange where reading becomes more than observation.
