This personal web space blends art, writing, and web design into a handmade digital garden, celebrating both the playful and the profound. It's filled with creative experiments and thoughtful reflections; which invites visitors to explore quirky projects, cultural curiosities, and evolving ideas.
While about 2/3rds of this site is complete; the art site and blog will remain ongoing projects. I'll continue to add content as inspiration strikes and new experiences are introduced. My artwork often embodies abstract impressionism and stirs emotion without concrete form, while my blog and zines encourage you to feel the weight of my words. My shrines are mostly things that fascinate me but also include my quirky nature and causes I support, so a mixture that is still part of that same introspective continuum. This material is mostly meant to spark reflection. Consequently, the site itself is a product of my inner dialogue that’s always in motion.
| Feature | Advantage | Link / Type |
|---|---|---|
| Lightweight JavaScript Enhancements | Modest use of JavaScript enables interactivity (like the planet panel) without bloating load times or interrupting the mood. Intentionally restrained for a smoother, slower experience. | Custom / Embedded |
| Ambient Navigation | Designed for exploration. Visitors can choose between structured access (like this table) or wandering through planet themed paths that mimic early web “drift” experiences. | UX Philosophy |
| No Popups, No Ads | The site is deliberately free of ad banners, cookie alerts, and distraction overlays. Content is meant to unfold naturally, not be pushed or sold. A sanctuary from the commercial web. | Ethical Design |
| Slow Web Ethos | Built with care, updated when inspired. Not everything is polished, and that’s part of the charm. You’re invited to linger, not skim. This is a living site, not a static product. | Philosophy |
| Evolving Architecture | The site’s structure changes over time; new pathways and content may appear just like thoughts evolve. Visitors who return may find new connections. | Long Term Use |
This site wasn't designed to be terribly flashy but relies heavily on minimalism and mood; nor was it designed to be quickly consumed but instead it was meant to unfold like a slow burn. The idea was to reflect that laid back 90's ethos, where websites were often made for fun moreso than clicks and learning in the process was just the bonus. Front Page Express was a tool we used often but now CSS handles a lot of that, such as mapping hotspots.
As you notice, the interactive planet panel on the homepage invites exploration. Each planet uncovers thoughts and memories within the site; offering a variety of portals in this "hive world." This concept has been featured in Warhammer's dystopian Necromunda; which was an inspiration source. The goal was to evoke the sort of architecture you can get lost in, as opposed to the type where you can navigate through. For more read blog entry 021.
In a world driven by markets and revenue, the web curators still exist. We volunteer our skills, offer each other support and promote the spirit of collaboration. We maintain websites and offer a service that promotes shared knowledge; we are here to bring you an experience. Assets are pooled to uplift virtual societies; reinforcing the power of informed spaces. This is the manifesto and mission we strive to live by; keeping the web vibrant, dynamic and accessible. This site is guided by a set of principles that reflect how I approach creativity, technology, and online space. These ideas shape not only what’s presented here, but how it’s presented:
As a young adult, I spent time coding web pages with HTML, CSS and JavaScript; during the golden age of the internet. The open frontier of owning a home computer was explored and there was an interest in learning about what it could be used to create. I was excited about web design, digital art and writing but went on to pursue an M.A. in mass media, while honing my hobbies on the side. This experience gave me a knack for understanding people in compelling circumstances; enriching my perspective on communication.
I've cultivated an interdisciplinary skill set that supports my journey. I believe in the power of introspection and engagement, which allows me to connect with the projects and people who I encounter. I encourage you to get to know me through my website; rather than through a direct reveal of my identity. You can gather everything you need to know and infer a lot about me; from my blog. This includes how everyday experiences, such as going to the county fair; frame my world view. My About Me Lists
Welcome to my FAQ page! I've put together answers to some common questions about me, my work, and what I do. Whether you're here out of curiosity or for collaboration, this should help you get to know me better. If you’re still wondering about something, feel free to reach out.
Thanks,
